Buddy Biscuits All Natural Dog Treats Buddy Biscuits All Natural Dog Treats

ShopaholicDog must confess that until recently Katy The ArT DoG was a junk food junky with a serious habit. Her favorite treats were store brand dog biscuits and jerky strips. Enabling doggie junk food addiction is a hard habit to break. We tried major brand bone shaped dog biscuits from the grocery store and she would turn up her cute wet nose at the famous brand treats insisting on purchasing boxes of those multi-colored off-brand dog biscuits and smoky smelling jerky strips which she wolfed down insatiably. Realizing Katy had a substance abuse problem, ShopaholicDog decided a doggie junk food intervention was in order.

After talking with Jeremy Burger at The Philly Pack Pet Shop we learned that those store brand dog treats have loads of sugar, salt and fat – no wonder Katy was hooked on the sweet junk food dog biscuits. And he pointed out that if you look on the store brand box, the label only shows the distributor of the products and not where the dog treats are actually manufactured!?! ShopaholicDog realized enabling doggie junk food addiction was not good for Katy’s health and fitness. So, we tried something new – Buddy Biscuits.

The Philly Pack Pet Shop carries a wide array of dog treats but Jeremy encouraged ShopaholicDog to try Buddy Biscuits Peanut Butter flavor dog treats to help break Katy’s addiction to junk food. Made from simple all natural ingredients like whole wheat flour, peanut butter, canola oil and all natural preservative, the cute ginger-bread man shaped dog biscuits actually satisfy Katy’s cravings with fewer treats. Now, instead of five or six big dog biscuits of the cheap brand, two or three of Buddy Biscuits satisfies her snack attacks and Katy loves playing with them before munching their little heads off. After a few days she didn’t even want the cheap stuff from the grocery store and performed all her best tricks to get her new healthy snacks. So, even though Buddy Biscuits cost a bit more, at The Philly Pack Pet Shop a 16 oz. box cost $7.00, they actually last longer because Katy is satisfied with fewer treats.

The Buddy Biscuits actually look like the picture on the label, they don’t contain any corn products, soy products, sugar or egg, no artificial colors or flavors and they smell like real peanut butter not just colored to look that way. And the preservative is all natural, mixed tocopherols, with no BHA or BHT. Buddy Biscuits Peanut Butter flavor dog treats are made in the USA, the packaging is made from recycled material and the box was full to the top with no broken biscuits in the box we brought home.

And, the manufacturer, Cloud Star, has a wonderful social conscience, too. 10% of Cloud Star‘s net profits is donated to non-profit organizations that benefit animals, women, children and the environment. Now that Katy the ArT DoG is enjoying healthy treats instead of junk food, snack time doesn’t mean an overdose of suspect ingredients of unknown origin and part of the cost goes to good causes. The Philly Pack Pet Shop is dedicated to offering American made products that they would only feed to their own dogs, the shop is located at 2315 Grays Ferry Avenue, Philadelphia.
